Ideally for true adventures ready to embrace and discover nature and its hidden treasures in the dark. Follow your tour guide walking through the jungle to unveil beautiful caves and fly above vegetation with three impressive zip lines. Embrace the mystic maya heritage by participating in a shaman’s blessing ceremony in a torch lit night accompanied by a relaxing temazcal session. Legends come to life by the bonfire and enjoy a typical snack.

Mr Savvy note: TEMAZCAL is a type of sweat lodge which originated with pre-Hispanic Indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica. Comes from the Nahuatl words temāzcalli  (“house of heat”) or  teme (to bathe) and calli (house). It was used as a curative ceremony; also used for healing the sick, improving health, and for women to give birth. It is currently being recovered by all sectors of society in Mexico and Central America and is used as a cleansing of mind, body and spirit.

Recommendations: bring comfortable shoes (that hold the heel and preferably cover the fingers), fresh clothing, bathing suit, hat, extra shirt and cash or credit card for crafts and photos.  It is permitted the use of sun blocker or insect repellent as long as they are biodegradable.

Important: this expedition is not recommended for persons with any type of disability, or people who suffer heart conditions, respiratory or back problems. It is not recommended for pregnant women or children under 6 years old. People under the influence of alcohol or toxic substances won’t be allowed to participate. For safety reason, hands should be kept free, the use of cameras and recording devices of any kind (including cell phones, or tablets) is not allowed, except for “action cam” (Go Pro) style, only if it is assembled on a chest or head mount during the excursion. This tour may have some restrictions on weather conditions.
